Gorilla Post 101
Quick overview of how the Gorilla Post Magnetic System works.
Parking garages often have predictable ebbs and flows during ingress and egress. Alternating the traffic direction of one or more traffic lanes can dramatically shorten wait times and improve customer satisfaction. An example would be a garage where a middle lane is inbound during the morning ingress of arriving commuters but changes to be outbound for the evening departure of the same commuters.
The Gorilla Post System makes reversing a lane fast and easy. The time required to shift the posts is under 10 minutes for 20 posts. Unlike cones, our posts stay exactly where you place them and are taller (48”) plus are pre-drilled for a 12” x 18” directional sign (i.e. Keep Right). We suggest yellow posts for this application.
Reserving a Space
There are many times where a space needs to be temporarily reserved. An example would be in conjunction with on-street multi-space parking meters when a parking space or two needs temporarily reserved for a drop box or for doing repair work under a small portion of the block. The post is held in place by almost 400 pounds of resistance which makes enforcement reliable. For on-street reservations we suggest placing a base plate on the sidewalk adjacent to the space that potentially needs to be reserved.
Another example would be at a parking facility where VIP spaces occasionally needs to be reserved. Yet another example is for creating temporary unloading zones at fast food eateries that receive large delivery trucks during business hours. For off-street reservations we suggest placing a base plate at the opening of the parking space and another at the opposite end of the space. This second plate is useful for storing the post when not needed but yet is conveniently nearby when deployment is needed.
The Gorilla Post System makes reserving a space fast and easy. The time required to place or remove a magnetic post is under a minute per post. Unlike cones, our posts stay exactly where you place them and are taller (48”) plus are pre-drilled for a 12” x 18” sign (i.e. No Parking or Reserved For Technician). We suggest orange or red posts for these applications
Restaurant or Night Club
Our magnetic post system offers two great solutions for restaurants and night clubs. First, temporary valet stations are easy to establish by using one or more posts with a 12” x 18” sign (ie. Valet Here) to indicate where the guest should stop for convenient valet parking services.
Secondly, a series of magnetic posts along with the loop cap accessory can be deployed to create orderly pedestrian queuing lines for waiting guests. The posts can then be removed and stored when they are not needed such as after the close of business.
We suggest white posts for this application.
Our magnetic post system offers two great solutions for event parking. First, temporary VIP parking areas are easy to clearly establish by using our posts with a 12” x 18” sign (i.e. VIP Lot E) to indicate during the event ingress where VIP guests should park. An example would be on a college football home game where the student parking lots are temporarily converted to season ticket holder parking for the game day. Our post system supports signage that is easy to deploy and enables traffic to keep flowing.
Secondly, a series of magnetic posts along with the loop cap accessory create orderly pedestrian queuing lines at the entry point. This assists security efforts. Additionally, a 12” x 18” sign can be used to provide instructions (i.e. Bag Check or No Outside Food). The posts then can be removed after ingress which allows for easier guest egress and for easier post-event cleaning of the entry zone.
We suggest yellow posts for this application.
